Hello fellow readers, from now on we would be starting a book review section and we would write a review for at least one book per week. So for this week we read and covered Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf which is German for My Struggle.

Mein Kampf (German: My Struggle) a political manifesto written by Adolf Hitler and the work became the Bible for the Nazi Party in Germany’s third Reich. The book itself was published in two volumes in 1925 and 1927, and an abridged edition appeared in 1930. By the year, 1939 it had sold 5.2M copies and had been translated as many as 11 languages.

The book initially contains the first world war with Hitler’s initial days and the “betrayal” of the German collapse during the 1918’s. It also consists of the racist Aryan Ideology that he believed, Aryan Race being superior to other inferior race and considered the Jews as Parasites. The book also clearly states the hatred for Marxism (Karl Marx) which was the most influential philosophy at the time. He also believed the Aryan Race to be creators.

Second volume is titled “The National Socialist Movement” which was written after Hitler was release from prison in December 1924. The second volume mostly contained the outline of his political program, including the philosophical theological methods of the Nazi party which must pursue both in gaining power and in exercising it thereafter in the new Germany.

My personal assessment of the book was that it was extremely racist, this ideology of Hitler was also similar to a white supremacist ideology which is being practiced widely by the west.

Overall what would I rate this book, probably a 1 out of 5 because of its racist and genocidal mindset which Hitler portrays.
